Alcazaba Lagoon

A Caribbean-blue lagoon twenty minutes from Marbella

Alcazaba Lagoon in Casares is the largest crystal lagoon in Europe: 1.4 hectares of impossibly turquoise, bath-warm water with a white sand beach around it.

Paddleboards, kayaks and pedal boats are available, there are sunbeds and a beach bar, and because the water is shallow and calm it is a genuinely easy day out with children. It is around 30 minutes west of Marbella by car, so pair it with lunch in Estepona on the way back.
