Barefoot beach days in the El Rosario dunes

Dune sits east of Marbella in El Rosario, tucked into the protected dunes, and it is the antidote to the Banus scene. Rustic wooden beds, low music, a bar in the sand and a kitchen that does grilled fish and rose very well.

Lunch runs long here. Kick your shoes off, order the catch of the day, and stay until the sun drops behind the hill and the lanterns come on.

Open daily in peak season; quieter and even nicer in May, June and September.
