Istán Lake — Kayak & Fishing
Still water in the mountains
Embalse de la Concepción is the big green reservoir tucked into the hills above Istán — glassy water, forested slopes and barely a sound. Rent a kayak and paddle along the shoreline, or bring a rod; the lake is known for its bass and carp.

- Kayaking on calm mountain water, fishing from the shore, or simply a picnic with a view. A completely different Marbella, twenty minutes from the beach.

- The reservoir lies just above Istán village; follow the signs towards Embalse de la Concepción.

- A couple of hours to a full day.
