La Virginia is a small residential neighbourhood with a village-like feel: whitewashed houses, narrow lanes and a little chapel, away from the bustle of the seafront. Come for a quiet wander rather than a long list of things to do, and remember that people live here.

Its seasonal market is an extra reason to visit, usually held twice a year around May and December, with crafts and browsing along the lanes. It is not a weekly Sunday market: check the announced event date before making a special trip.
