The Old Town favourite locals keep to themselves

Tucked into a quiet corner of Marbella Old Town, Zozoi is the sort of place regulars mention slightly reluctantly. A whitewashed patio, bougainvillea overhead, candles on white linen and a kitchen that has been quietly excellent for years.

The cooking is Mediterranean with a French hand - think perfectly cooked fish, seasonal starters and a short, confident wine list. Service is warm rather than formal, which is exactly why people come back.

Dinner only, closed Tuesdays, and a reservation is essentially compulsory in high season.
